A Birds Eye View of SAG Red Carpet Fashion

There is nothing Tweety loves more than a red carpet event full of fashion. Well, except for a yellow carpet event full of great fashion, which we here is hitting the NYC scene very soon. However, it was the more traditional walkway from Sunday night’s 75th Annual SAG Awards that has the fashion gossipers buzzing. While we have scoured the blogosphere for everyone’s personal favorites, we are most interested in what our little chick-adoo felt stood out from a surprisingly well dressed group. With both the WGA writers strike and the rain putting a heavy cloud over the evening, Tweety favored these lovely ladies who brought sunshine and brightness to an otherwise gloomy day.

The big winner of the night, well at least in Tweety’s eyes, was Kate Beckinsale, who gracefully adorned a bright yellow Luisa Beccaria gown. Tweety loves canary yellow, as we have seen by the always present coat of feathers in the same hue, and so it is no surprise that Kate’s bright (smart) choice left Tweety chirping.

While Beckensile was defiantly the front runner on the runway, Tweety also took note of other sun inspired gowns worn by Vanessa Williams and Debra Messing. As evil Willimina on Ugly Betty, Williams took on a brighter note in a marigold Escada gown. Messing brought her usual sense of cheer and fun choosing a gold beaded Oscar de la Renta floor length sheath to bring a helping dose of sunshine to the overcastted evening.

What the Stars Were Wearing at Paris Fashion Week

Tweety is always a fan of all things fashion, and so it was no shock that our little birdie flocked towards Paris to catch a birds eye view of the fashion shows that took place this week during Paris Fashion Week. Joining our yellow friend is favorite Gossip Girl character Blake Lively. Showing up to a fashion show in Paris requires one to be dressed to the nines, so Lively took a cue from Tweety, who was seen in a yellow feather coat, which sources say is the birds original design. Lively wore a yellow jacket cape style, a’ la’ Tweety over her Valentino dress, which she adorned to pay homage to the designer, whose last show she was attending.

It was only a short ten years ago that we were questioning if the Backstreet Boys were going to be the next Beatles. With hit after hit, and an endless supply of heart-throbbing pre-teen fans, the fab five were on top of the world. However, we quickly learned that every generation has a gorgeous public icon or an adorable idol that they look up to, and it is only the really special ones that last. So it was no surprise that when the Backstreet Boys reunited for a second chance at their stardom of yesteryear, they were pulled towards Tweety Fine Jewelry backstage at Z100 Jingle Ball. Keeping the Tweety jewelry on their persons will help them to remember one of the idols who made it, and achieved the almost unattainable, yet always desirable, everlasting stardom. Tweety Dazzles Celebrities at the Z100 Jingle Ball

This past Friday our favorite feathered friend spent a lot of time hanging out backstage bejeweling the most fabulous A-Listers at the Kick off of the Z100 Jingle Ball in Madison Square Garden in New York City.  Celebs flocked to Tweety Fine Jewelry, and many took home a piece of the bird for themselves.

Hayden Panettiere saw the Tweety Fine Jewelry she exclaimed “Tweety is my favorite!” and walked away with a stunning Tweety pendant.  Funky and Punky Rocker Avril Lavigne was so ecstatic when presented with a diamond and sapphire Tweety pendant that she slipped right on to perfect her sassy look.  Even famed celebrity blogger and self-proclaimed queen of all media, Perez Hilton, walked away with a silver Tweety ring!

The spirit of giving was also in the air, with many celebrities taking home a bit of Tweety for their loved ones.  The Backstreet Boys are huge fans of Tweety, and Brian Littrell scored some Tweety Fine Jewelry swag for his wife! Pete Wentz even made a special trip backstage to pick up some Tweety for his own sweetie, Ashley Simpson, claiming he couldn’t go home without it. Aww!

O' Let The Sun Shine Down On Me

Everyone loves Tweety for the ball of sunshine that our little yellow birdie brings into our lives.  But this week we pay homage to another burst of sunshine Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine), who won the first ever Girl of the Year Award at Glamour’s 18^th annual Women of the Year Awards on November 5^th.  Winners of the ceremony, an event recognizing women who have changed the world, also included Nancy Pelosi and Donna Karen.  So, Tweety and Abigail, we thank you for always bringing bright sunshine into our lives, whether it is with your yellow feathers, your performance in Little Miss Sunshine, or for just being you. 

                              

I Tawt I Taw a....Marathon?!

While all of you Tweety fans out there know that the only running Tweety ever does is when being chased by that rascally puddy tat, Sylvester, Tweety is still very proud of and impressed by the thousands of people who completed the ING New York City Marathon yesterday. Tweety spent the gorgeous Sunday morning and early afternoon relaxing at a marathon party, and there was much excited wing flapping as the runners—including women's winner Paula Radcliffe, the ultra-fit Lance Armstrong, and celebrity runner Katie Holmes—trotted past Tweety's viewing perch. All of the finishers got their just award in the form of adulation and, of course, a yellow medal. Congratulations to all!
