Tweety's New Year's Resolutions

While a good time was had by all on New Years, Tweety was not too tipsy from champagne punch to forget that with the new year comes a new set of resolutions. To kick off the new year and to inspire your own resolutions, we have a list of Tweety's big plans for 2008.

1) Bring more color into life!
With yellow being the favorite color of our feathered friend, its no wonder Tweety hopes to spread the joy of the happy color to everyone.  Whether it's a small yellow scarf, or a canary gown, a vibrant yellow hue can invigorate any outfit.

2) Spread the sparkle!
Bring on the shine!  Of course you can't forget about the jewelry!  With pieces big and small, there's a piece of Tweety Fine Jewelry  for every style and budget.

3) "Twim" down and get more exercise!
Apparently Granny has noticed Tweety's trademark chubby cheeks have gotten a bit plumper than usual, so Tweety has vowed to make better use of the cage swing.

The best exercises are always those that are easy and fun!

3) Stay away from that "Puddy Tat"!
Our Tweety is trying to be a good bird this year and has decided abstaining from mischievous antics is the best way to start.  For now Tweety has vowed against all baseball bats to the face and mallets to the toes of that Puddy Tat Sylvester.  We're hoping Sylvester has learned to stay away from this mischievous bird, but this is one New Years resolution we're not holding our breath for.

Tweety Shines in the Spotlight

Tweety has always been a star in our eyes, but recent news has shown that the mass media shares of feelings of the little yellow cutie. Check out Tweety’s on screen cameo in this Access Hollywood interview with the Jonas Brothers.

Tweety Fine Jewelry was also all the rage with other rocker Pete Wentz at Z100 Jingle Ball. Cindy Adams from The New York Post reported: “Fall Out Boy band's Pete Wentz giving love Ashlee Simpson an 18-karat gold and yellow diamond Tweety Fine necklace.” If that is not proof enough, see for yourself as Wentz swoons over the Tweety collection backstage at Z100 Jingle Ball.

With the WGA Writer’s Strike inching into its eighth week, we feel your frustration with the slim pickings of old reruns and reality TV. Especially during these days of limbo between Christmas and New Years, where time off work has left you yearning for better programs to relax to. Here is a cute Tweety clip to help get you through. Tweety Flip Flops

With the cold weather finally sinking in, we wanted to give a special throwback to the warm days of summer that seam so far past. Flip Flops are the summer footwear of choice by all – ok not all since our yellow feather friend Tweety can happily fly from tree to tree with no worries.  These special edition Haviana Flip Flops printed with the cheery face of our little birdie are so cute, that it almost makes it hard to walk all over Tweety’s face.

       

Also, with Friday here again, we wanted to wish you a good weekend with another favorite Tweety cocktail.  Tweety recommends adding just a little more yellow to the already Tweety colored screwdriver by adding a squirt and a twist of lemon.

Twist Screwdriver:

1 ½Tweety onces Absolute Vodka
4 ½ onces Chilled Tropicana Orange Juice
Combine ingredients in a highball glass over ice, and add juice of one lemon wedge and serve with a twist.

And the Oscar Goes to....

We always knew Tweety Bird was a star, but we didn't realize that "Tweety Pie," the 1947 movie in which Tweety and Sylvester Pussycat first joined forces, was the first cartoon from Warner Bros. Studio to win an Oscar!  Tweety also took home an Oscar in 1957 with "Birds Anonymous" and "Sandy Claws" got the nomination nod in 1954. 

Tweety Makes Us Feel Like Dancing!

We over here at Tweety Fine Jewelry HQ have always known that Tweety is quite the dancing machine.  All one needs to do is check out the dancing Tweety charm to get some sort of indication of our feathered friend's sweetest moves.  But we've heard through the rumor-mill that Tweety may soon be making a forray in the New York City nightclub scene.  Details are still FUZZY, but we'll let you know as soon as a little birdy gives us some more information.   

Tweety Trivia--Installment I

Can you imagine a PINK Tweety?  And one named "Orson" no less?  Well, neither can we, but when Tweety was first created in 1942, our little feathered friend was pink!  Thank goodness for all of us Tweety's tail (and wings and all the rest) were quickly changed to the vibrant yellow we've all come to know and love!

Tweety Fine Jewelry landed at six Fortunoff stores recently, including their flagship Fifth Avenue Store, and New York City gave us the warmest welcome imaginable. Seen from most points in our great city, the landmark Empire State Building glowed in Tweety Yellow on October 18, putting everyone in a Tweety mood and bringing smiles to the faces of Tweety Lovers everywhere.
