Fashion Follows Fowl

Tweety is very busy, and as a fashion icon staring in the brand new Tweety Fine Jewelry line gets lots of magazines to stay in the know about the right fashion to pair with the fun and glamorous Tweety jewelry. So, when Tweety was piling up the many December magazines that have started filling our little yellow friend’ desk, Harper’s Bazaar stood out for their Tweety inspired cover. Kelly Wearstler is featured in a yellow MaxMara dress, very similar to the yellow feathers Tweety is famous for sporting. That little birdie is always one step ahead!

Eau de Tweety

Is it just us, or are the December fashion mags filled just a little bit more to the brim than usual with fragrance ads?  Flipping through the pages of this month's InStyle, I counted around 22 ads! Don't even get me started on the final ad count in Vogue...  So, in celebration of the scented season, We bring to you a review of my favorite smelling perfumes in tweety's favorite hue: YELLOW!

1) Marc Jacobs Daisy
Marcjacobsdaisy3
Fresh and innocent, this is definitely a pick for a hot chick! With fruity smells like grapefruit, and strawberries matched with floral scents like violet and gardenia and cut with a hint of musk, you get the best of it all!  The bottle is too cute to pass up!

2) No.5 eau Premiere by Chanel
Chanel5eaupremiere
If light and playful isn't your thing, then maybe you'd go more for a classic scent revamped for the modern girl.  This new edition of Chanel's classic includes all of the original notes of jasmine, rose, Ylang-Ylang and neroli, toned down just a bit to provide a more subtle experience.

3) Zen by Shiseido
Shiseidozen1
Always a fan of the Shiseido makeup line, we're excited about their new fragrance, Zen.  Their bottle is inspired by a Japanese tea room and their latest version of the scent is described as "fresh, floral and woody," featuring a long list of fruity and floral ingredients.  Yum!

O' Let The Sun Shine Down On Me

Everyone loves Tweety for the ball of sunshine that our little yellow birdie brings into our lives.  But this week we pay homage to another burst of sunshine Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine), who won the first ever Girl of the Year Award at Glamour’s 18th annual Women of the Year Awards on November 5th.  Winners of the ceremony, an event recognizing women who have changed the world, also included Nancy Pelosi and Donna Karen.  So, Tweety and Abigail, we thank you for always bringing bright sunshine into our lives, whether it is with your yellow feathers, your performance in Little Miss Sunshine, or for just being you.

Stay Warm Like Tweety

Tweety’s yellow feathers are not just a lovely yellow feather coat, they also serve as a great wind protector and heat insulator.  My, what we wouldn’t give to be a yellow feather friend on this first really cold windy day. So while Tweety stays nice and warm, the rest of us can find other ways to be like Tweety by wrapping up in a comfy cozy yellow scarf or warm yellow leather gloves.  Try Echo’s wool-acrylic muffler or La Crasia leather gloves, both featured in In Style.

I tawt I taw a – yellow fashion… I did! I did!

Flipping through this month’s fall fashion books, bright flashes of yellow popped up across pages, making us smile as we think about our favorite yellow feathered friend, Tweety Bird. It seems that “Tweety Yellow” has become the color of choice for celebs and trendsetters alike. While Kate Hudson received the honor of best dressed in her floor length high-noon yellow gown by John Galliano for Dior, young actresses Alexis Bledel and Ann Hathaway went for a shorter adornment of the happy color in knee length yellow cocktail dresses. Victoria Beckham chose to keep her inner Tweety under wraps, reporting to InStyle a fetish for florescent yellow bras, and W magazine followed former Posh Spice's lead and listed a yellow Araks bra on the top of their 1-10 must-have items for October. Feeling it in their toes as well, fashion reporters from InStyle featured two different pairs of fun yellow flats as Fall's hottest shoe, and Harpers Bazaar showcased Mandy Moore's favorite fashions, which included a gorgeous yellow and black pump by Christian Louboutin. As the season continues, we see the sun for fewer hours each day, so take the opportunity to get yellow in your life in other ways, and pay homage to Tweety – the hottest chick around!
