Tweety's Top Picks for Spring Accessories

Recently, most fashion chicks have been adorning the gutsy yellow fashion our dear Tweety inspired decades ago. Tweety, always a tastemaker, wears a full yellow outfit of yellow, and so as to not over power the look, opts for a less in your face orange color for footwear. Together the yellow ensemble paired with the orange wedges combine to create a very haute couture look. For those of us that can not rise to the fashion standards set by our little yellow feathered friend, we tend to go for small installments of the color de jour, like sparkles of yellow gemstones from Tweety Fine Jewelry, a handful of yellow with a bright new yellow bag, or a first-step in the yellow trend direction with a fun pair of yellow shoes. Yellow jewelry is easy. No other jewelry line is as simultaneously trendy and classic as the Tweety Fine Jewelry collection. For handbags we recommend the lively yellow patent tote from Dooney & Bourke, which is the perfect size for all a gals holdings, and adds a great hue of brightness to an otherwise dull outfit. Finally, for shoes we turn to the Mecca of fashion reporting, W magazine, who favored this easy pair of yellow flip flops from Banana Republic. Hey, we can’t all pull off Tweety’s orange wedges, and the patent shine adds a dash of fanciness to the usual flip flop. With these key accessories, you are on you way to the top of the fashion ladder. Although don’t forget, no one flies higher than our iconic Tweety.

The Verdict Is In...

Wwdyellowpantone

This week WWD asked New York’s most famous designers to vote on the color they’d be using most in their fashions this upcoming spring. The survey used colors from Pantone, which is the color forecasting system used by all major designers. One of their top two choices is called “Freesia,” a bright, warm, bouncy shade of yellow. Does that remind you of anyone we know?

“Yellow is the color of optimism, and don’t we all need that for springtime?” says Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of Pantone. We here at Tweety HQ couldn’t agree more. So now that yellow is officially in, we know just the little bird to keep you smiling and help you express yourself.

Yellow Bags Hang Pretty

Tweety121107

Tweety always likes to stay in the know about fashion trends on the rise and fall – and therefore our little birdie is an avid reader of the ultimate guide to everything fashion – WWD. So our yellow feather friend was very excited to see that Kate Spade’s purses hung nicely in WWD’s "Top Twelve Handbag Brands" list. What brought smiles to Tweety most was the lovely yellow hue of the featured bag, because while other featured bags from other designers were black, brown, and blue, this yellow bag stood out on the page like rays of sunshine. (Just like Tweety’s does next to all the other black and blue birdies!) Top contenders included: Coach, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci.

Tis' The Season

With holiday season coming up, (for those Chanukah celebrators out there sooner then you can even figure out how to spell Chanukah), we are providing you with Tweety’s top gift picks that your loved ones will truly adore.  Tweety, your yellow feather friend, is always thinking how to make your life easier.

  1. Toping Tweety’s list is anything from the Tweety Fine Jewelry collection, like the diamond pendant featured here.  The fresh and fun collection will add the perfect amount of glimmer and shine to all the ladies in your life, young and old.
  2. For the shopper on a cheaper budget, or if you are just looking for something small, go for Crate & Barrel’s oven-mitt and pot holder set in – of course- the lovely yellow hue of our dear Tweety. These soft terry mitts, insulated with heat resistant cotton, will really show your mom how much you truly appreciate her Chanukah lakes or Christmas ham. (Retails for $12.95)
  3. For your fashion crazy friends and family, lighten up their wardrobes with a yellow clutch or handbag.  The Tweety inspired colored accessories have been spotted in all the right places, including the window display of Chanel and Fendi, and on the pages of W Magazine, our go to source for hot trends.
  4. A classic and traditional gift for kids of all ages is chocolate coins given on Chanukah called “gelt.”  These tasty holiday treats come wrapped in yellow gold foil, making Tweety and everyone smile and say yum!
  5. Finally, for the men in your life, wrap up a new tie to wear to Christmas dinner. Tweety loves the collection of J Crew ties, especially the ones accented with Tweety like yellow stripes.

Happy holidays!!

Adding a personal touch to Tweety Fine Jewelry!

W Magazine, our number one source for elite fashion reporting, has chosen Tweety Fine Jewelry to feature on the W Personal Shopper page.  Fashionistas rely on the W personal shopper to stay in-the-know about hot items, and it is their goal “to purvey perfection; to discover decadence; to find the new frontiers of luxury and bring them all directly to you.” (W’s Personal Shopper).  So they think Tweety Fine Jewelry is perfect, decedent, and luxurious…Well, we can’t argue with that!
